Through their expertise, commitment, and service, they are driving meaningful change in both public and private sectors. Their impact is a testament to the college’s enduring mission to advance health equity, build resilient systems, and nurture the next generation of health professionals.

  1. Women Leading Health Change

With over 70% of its alumni being women from humble beginnings, SOS College of Health Science serves as a powerful platform for nurturing the next generation of female health leaders. Many of our graduates have become role models—advocating for maternal and child health, mentoring younger women, and leading efforts to improve healthcare access in their communities. Their accomplishments reflect the college’s enduring commitment to empowerment, equity, and transformative education.

  1. Employment Opportunities for Our Alumni

Our alumni are among the most competitive in the healthcare job market—distinguished by their strong clinical training, ethical professionalism, and hands-on experience gained at our institution. From the moment they graduate, they are well-prepared to meet the demands of real-world healthcare environments.

This competitiveness stems from a curriculum rooted in practical skills, evidence-based learning, and community-oriented care. Through intensive clinical rotations, exposure to real patient settings, and mentorship from experienced faculty, our graduates develop the confidence and competence employers seek.

As a result, SOS alumni are consistently recruited by leading hospitals, NGOs, public health programs, and international agencies. Their ability to adapt, lead, and deliver high-quality care makes them stand out—not just as employees, but as changemakers in Somalia’s health system and beyond.

  1. Accredited Excellence and Global Opportunities for Further Education

Our graduates carry more than just a certificate—they carry a qualification that is recognized and respected worldwide. From 2002 to 2013, SOS College of Health Science awarded certificates co-signed by SOS Children’s Villages Somalia (CVS) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Since 2014, these certificates have been jointly issued by SOS CVS and the Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH), Somalia, and are fully accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education.

This strong academic foundation has enabled our alumni to pursue advanced education and professional careers across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. Many have successfully enrolled in prestigious international postgraduate programs and joined renowned global health institutions. Their continued achievements are a testament to the credibility, quality, and global recognition of education at SOS College of Health Science.
