Postgraduate Diploma in Reproductive and Sexual Health
This program is a one academic year course designed to equip midwives with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the provision of comprehensive reproductive and sexual health services. It emphasizes evidence-based practice, rights-based care, and gender-sensitive approaches across the reproductive health continuum, including family planning, fertility care, STI/HIV prevention, safe motherhood, and the management of gender-based violence.
Learners will be trained to assess, counsel, and manage complex reproductive and sexual health cases, particularly in low-resource and humanitarian settings. The program enhances the capacity of midwives to provide respectful, confidential, and client-centered care, while addressing the unique needs of adolescents, survivors of violence, and marginalized populations.
The curriculum includes theoretical modules, clinical placements, and supervised practicum in both facility-based and community outreach settings. Graduates will be prepared to assume specialist roles in reproductive health services, contribute to policy implementation, and promote sexual and reproductive health rights within their practice and communities.
