SOS College of Health Science University

Nursing Program

We offer nursing programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels, designed to meet national healthcare priorities and international academic standards. Our programs prepare students to become compassionate, competent, and ethical nursing professionals capable of delivering high-quality care in diverse clinical settings.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program, excluding the foundation year mandated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education. The program follows a competency-based approach, combining theoretical instruction, hands-on clinical practice, and structured debriefing sessions to ensure deep learning and professional readiness. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge, clinical skills, and critical thinking abilities required to contribute meaningfully to Somalia’s evolving healthcare system.

Semester intake

The college admits new students once a year. Each academic year runs for 45 weeks, divided into two semesters of 20 weeks each, starting in August.
